Digital History Project: Crowd Sourcing Oral History

This is a video submission of me discussing my website. There are points where the video lags behind the audio; I apologize, I’m not familiar with screen recorders.

And here is a link to my github account if you want to take a look at the full code, under Fireside-Nation.

  1. It is great to see how this project is coming together. In building out your own platform for managing your content you’ve embarked on one of the most ambitious projects of the course. From the video and the demo you did of some of it so far it’s clear that you are on the way to building out something significant.

Overall, the site is looking well designed and from what I have seen you are developing some rather compelling features. As you go, if you aren’t already, it would be great to try and do some user testing with some potential users. That way you can confirm what is and isn’t clear to potential users and potentially respond to that in tweaks to your design. I’m excited to see how the project comes together as a whole in the last bit of the semester.
